Remembrance

Day breaks as it always does,
but today I can't see it's colors
masked by a thick blanket of grey water
all we can see is this cover
Dull, suffocating, cold and the same

Life is like that sometimes
all of us covered
in what drowns us, what wieghs us down
and we forget that hidden behind
what we think "makes us"
is beautiful sun
(spirit)
shining, never stopping,
creating color
begging us to remember
it's really there.

Today
Remember

i love this blog, amy. you're right; so often our sin hides the progress we're really making -- or God is making -- inside. colours of redemption, so easily blackened by the despair of feeling like we've failed.
